In the beginning, Gary Vidor and Joe Brooks presided over the operations of this much needed ministry while it has radiated into Correctional Facilities housing the inmates of Northern Michigan.  The functions, services and  mentoring of Project Unity for Life (PUFL) have greatly increased since then and many doors are continuing to open. PUFL have successfully partnered with organizations such as MPRI (Michigan Prison Re-entry initiative) and Prison Fellowship. 

      The Board of Directors now oversees mentoring services to seven counties in the Northern Michigan region and is still it continuing to grow to meet demands.  Our home office and groups support faculty has expanded from a 1,500 sq. ft. rural location to more than 3,000 sq. ft. in the heart of downtown Traverse City to meet the growing need, which increases our capability to accommodate more support meetings, frequent one on one uninterrupted mentoring, and has provided the opportunity for larger support groups. 

      This is just the beginning!  Our goal is to extend our vision and provide transitional housing within the Grand Traverse Region with on site offices and programs to better equip this ministry in serving the needs of our community.
