We are in need of volunteers on both the front lines and back office roles, as well as facilitator and mentoring positions to assist in our ministry.
We offer complete and rewarding volunteer training.
Below is a list of positions we wish to fill
Office coordinator: An individual with office, management, and administrative skills to assist in database development & management, mailings, and project management at our corporate office. Four to six hours per week (or more if desired) based on your skills and availability.
Fundraising volunteers: Both men and women to join our fundraising committee and assist with fundraising activities including events, mailings, and presentations. Two or more hours per week based on your availability.
Group facilitators: Men to lead various programs in the 10 counties encompassing Grand Traverse County; programs are primarily held in county jails, prisons, or other community locations, using curriculum that is prepared for you. Group facilitators receive extensive training and work in teams. Two to three hours per week; days, evening, and /or weekends, based on your availability.
Mentor coordinator: Men to provide leadership for the mentor/ advocate program including training, placing, and monitoring mentor activities.Four to six hours per week; day, evenings, or weekends; based on your availability.
Mentor/advocates: Men to work one-on-one with individuals to support and transition them through the re-entry process. Mentors not only serve as a coach but advocate for the individual in team meetings. Two hours per week; days, evenings, or weekends; based on your availability.
Board members: Seeking new board members to serve a 1 to 3-year term. We specifically need board members with financial background or an interest in serving as an ambassador for our organization and participating in fundraising. Two to three days a month, eight to ten hours per month.
